Watercolors

Besides filmmaking and photography, Robin Lutz has been painting watercolors since 1980. He inherited his love for watercolor from his father, Gerard Lutz, a graphic artist and painter. Robin Lutz expresses his wonder for the ephemeral, for ruins, in paint or photography. Ruins evoke a nostalgic longing. They make us aware of the passing of time and history; they are a lieu de memoire—a place of remembrance. Remembrance of events and people from a distant past. He received a prestigious medal for his watercolors in France during an exhibition of his work at Château Arnoux.
